(Ahh, I got bored, so enter two random characters! *failz*)
"You're gonna lose. I give it nine minutes."
"Nine minutes? Ha, even you're not that good!"
"We'll see."
The two males convercied quietly as they sat on the ground next to the massive trunk that jetted from the ground and branched out in branches and leaves in an elaborate pattern.
One of the two males, who seemed more sure of himself, though not to say cocky, sat studying something layed out on the ground before him. He had an oddly thin form, showing he wasn't exactly the most physically-fit person, rather, his physical ability was underwhelming. Black fur covered his thin form, a choppy pattern, yet it still managed to lay nicely, a black- silver shine coming off the fur much as if it were ravens feathers, rather than a meerkat's pelt. Eyes of the most curious, deep violet color were currently staring intently at the area before him with much thought, black claws of one paw wrapped around a medium-sized bit of tree bark, two leaves sticking out of the top, obviously placed there on purpose.
"You're loosing already, Lulu, horribly. How can you expect to win in nine minutes? That gives you about twenty seconds per move." The other male commented with a laugh, like he just knew there was no way for the other to win. This male, unlike the black pelted male, had a lean built, yet stronger built form, with strength and agility built under the skin. All that hidden by ash, light brown fur that had an odd, almost slightly curly appearance to it, framing his form quiet well, neatly placed. Emerald green eyes were almost smiling as well as they watched the other male before him. Both looked like they were only a year or so old, possibly even a little less. Juviniles.
"Twenty seconds is plenty." The black male replied, setting down the piece of bark he held into a small square, one of many that had been carved in the dirt by claws, sixty-four squares in an eight-by-eight pattern. Amoung some of those squares sat other odd pieces of random items, from sixteen small pebbles, to four pieces of plain bark, two sets of sticks, four bits of leaf, two larger pieces of bark with two leaves sticking from the top, and two larger pieces of bark with only one. He had just moved the large bark piece that held two leaves. At this move, the emerald eyes male blinked and burst out laughing,
"Why'd you move your King now? No one can win like that!" Violet eyes set on him, an odd, sly grin on the others face.
"If the King doesn't move, his subjects will not follow, Suzaku." The other, who had been called Suzaku, laughed,
"Alright, all mighty philosipher, let's play." He said, moving a pebble across his side of the board.
Some eight minutes and thirty-seven seconds later, Suzaku sat blinking at the large piece of two-leaves bark that sat in front of his own of the same, making it unable to move without being knocked from the game.
"Lelouch, h-how did you..." He stuttered, and the black pelted name called Lelouch sat back, crossing his arms.
"I told you you'd lose..." He commented with a quiet laugh. Suzaku looked up at him and said,
"Well, that's not fair! You're basically genius smart, sometimes I wonder why I play this game with you anymore," He commented. Lelouch chuckeld,
"Because you like me."
"That's what you think," Suzaku joked, laughing as well. "Alright, genius boy Lulu, you go get us something to eat and I'll reset the game. I'll beat you this time!" He said in determination, though he couldn't hold back the laugh.
"We'll see." Lelouch replied, though he still complied with walking over to the large tree they were playing next to, peeling at it's bark and pulling catterpillars from it's wake. Catterpillars were probably both of the boy's favorite foods, which was probably why they stayed near this great tree often. Lelouch did this as Suzaku lined up the fallen game pieces, back onto their dirt-drawn squares.
